Indigenous Inclusion & Representation

Acknowledgement of Country

Nundah Village Family Practice acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.

We recognise the Turrbal and Yuggera people as the traditional custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane).

We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect, recognising the significant contributions of Indigenous communities across Australia.

Employment & Career Development:

We aim to increase Indigenous representation within our workforce and provide pathways for career advancement. This includes targeted recruitment, professional development programs, and support networks for Indigenous employees.

Cultural Awareness & Education:

We provide cultural awareness training for all staff, ensuring a respectful and informed workplace. Our education initiatives aim to deepen understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary issues.

Community Engagement:

We are seeking new ways to engage with Indigenous communities and organisations to build meaningful, long-term partnerships. These collaborations are designed to support community-led initiatives and empower Indigenous voices.
