Billing Policy

We are a mixed billing practice. We extend bulkbilling to aged pensioners and children under the age of 16. All others are privately billed, with a discount being offered to health care card holders and pensioners.

Private Patients

• The current fee for a standard consultation is $75.00 with a Medicare rebate of $37.60.

Health care card holders / Pensioners

• The current fee for a standard consultation is $55.00 with a Medicare rebate of $37.60.

After Hours Service

Care after hours is provided by two deputising services:

Hours of Operation

Monday to Thursday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
Friday - 8:30am – 4:00pm
Closed over the weekend

Appointments are preferred and can be made by phoning 3266 6622
Casual or “walk-in” cases are accommodated where possible. Emergency cases are dealt with immediately.
Please advise the staff if you feel very ill or uncomfortable or believe you may be contagious and they will make appropriate arrangements.

Please refrain from eating and drinking (except water) in the waiting room. Cups and water are provided for your refreshment.

House calls

House calls are available but we believe better care can be provided in the surgery setting.

Parking

There is parking available on site at the front of the building.  

Contacting your Doctor - prescriptions, referrals, results etc

If you request prescriptions, referrals, results etc by telephone, email or mail you will be asked to make an appointment with your preferred doctor.

Prescriptions

Our doctors are happy to fax prescriptions to your pharmacy, however the original will need to be collected by yourself or a family member and taken to the pharmacy.

Results

Results of tests are best discussed at a follow up appointment with your preferred doctor.

We welcome your feedback and comments. Please feel free to discuss these issues with your doctor or reception. Grievances will be dealt with promptly and if you still feel unhappy with our internal resolution you may contact the Health Ombudsman on 133 646.
